The Laggan-Tormore Project have committed to sponsor five process apprentices through the 'Upstream Oil & Gas Technician Training Scheme', managed by OPITO.

Members of the local Shetland Islands community are encouraged to apply for these exciting opportunities.

Entry requirements for entrance into the Upstream Oil & Gas Technician Training Scheme.

Applicants from Scotland:
You must have at least four Standard Grades (or equivalent) at level 1,2 or 3 in Mathematics and English and one from Physics, Chemistry or Technological Studies and any other Standard Grade by the start of the programme.

We will also consider your application if you do not have the Physics, Chemistry or Technological Studies requirement but do have Mathematics at Standard Grade 1 or Higher at Grade C or above and English at level 3 or above and two other Standard Grade subjects at level 3 or above.

Applicants from the rest of the UK:
You must have a least four GCSE (or equivalent) grades of A, B or C in Mathematics and English Language and Double Science or one from Physics, Chemistry or an appropriate technological subject and one other by the start of the programme.

We will also consider your application if you do not have the Double Science, Physics, Chemistry or Technological Subject requirements but do have Mathematics at GCSE Grade A or AS at Grade C or above and English Language at GCSE Grade C or above and two other GCSE subjects at Grade C or above.
