Road Safety Lessons Shared with community

Staff from the SIC Road Safety department, along with local police held an event in the Sellaness accommodation facility recently, in order to promote road safety when driving in Shetland.

The event was attended by both staff and contractors from the SGP construction project along with local Junior Road Safety Officers from  Voe and Mossbank schools.

The JRSO's are primary 6 & 7 children, who volunteer to act as advocates for road safety within their schools. They actively promote a safety culture amongst the other children.

The day was a great success, with the children having a site visit before enjoying lunch back at the accommodation facility.
